Sailing vacations, diving and snorkelling are popular British Virgin Islands adventure activities but you’ll also find birdwatching opportunities, hiking trails, and lots of other water-based activities.
There are quite a few activities and things to do on various islands in the BVI. Here is the list… boat & yacht charter, sailing, birdwatching, hiking trails, scuba diving, snorkelling, windsurfing, kiteboarding, fishing, specialist deep sea fishing charters, stand-up paddleboarding SUP, fishing (fly fishing and deep sea fishing), swimming with dolphins (dolphin encounters Tortola), kayaking, boating, canopy tour (suitable for families), national parks (21, land and sea), health & wellness spas (various islands), ATV tours (Jost Van Dyke), surfing lessons, hiking tours (Sage, Tortola), island helicopter tour, pirate day cruise, snorkel & beach tour.
British Virgin Islands National Parks
The BVI also has a quite a number of National Parks (including those on land and in marine areas), and there are botanic gardens in Tortola (J R O’Neal Botanic Gardens). The BVI National Parks are located in: Tortola (Shark Bay, Sage Mountain National Park, Mount Healthy National Park); Virgin Gorda (Little Fort National Park, Devil’s Bay National Park, Gorda Peak National Park, Spring Bay National Park, The Baths National Park, The Copper Mine); Little Tobago (Great Tobago National Park), Great Camanoe (Cam Bay National Park); Dead Chest National Park, West Dog National Park, Prickly Pear National Park, Salt Island (RMS Rhone Marine Park) and Jost Van Dyke (Diamond Cay).
