Guadeloupe Islands Adventure, Activities, Things to do
Guadeloupe Islands adventure and activities at a glance
Guadeloupe Islands adventure activities are many. Each of the French Guadeloupe islands is different – an archipelago rich in tradition and cultures, and brimming with vacation activities and holiday adventures from stand-up paddleboarding and hiking to big game fishing and canyoning.
There are hiking trails, horseback riding, mountain biking, trekking, natural hot springs, mud baths, golf, national parks, a geological nature reserve, and botanical gardens to visit. If you are planning to visit botanical gardens buy “Le Pass’Nature” for discounted prices to three sites.
There are catamaran and yacht charters, big game fishing, whale and dolphin watching excursions and glass-bottomed boat trips (Bouillante). Try scuba diving, snorkelling, kitesurfing and windsurfing, or stand up paddleboarding (SUP), canoeing and kayaking.
Adventurers can go hang gliding, parachuting, micro-lighting, paragliding, ziplining, and canyoning-rappelling. You can also participate in a six-stage race (Guadarun) – each stage around 16 miles, or go to Gwo-Ka dance classes.
Kids can also have fun – take oxcarts and cart rides, go pedal boating, and to an adventure park which offers water and walking activities for families… canyoning: small jumps, swimming, large slide waterfall.
The Guadeloupe Islands is the filming location of popular UK TV series “Death in Paradise”.
